There are opportunities for three second-year undergraduates from each university to apply for travel awards of up to £1,000 for an overseas activity (cultural visit/exchange/residency or overseas course) outside the UK. Also there are six development awards for six second-year undergraduates, two from each university, to apply for awards of up to £500 for an overseas activity (cultural visit/exchange or overseas course) within the UK.

Gane Trust has an ongoing relationship with the Stradling Collection over many years and through grants has supported conferences and exhibitions. In 2025 Gane made available £5000 to enable the Stradling Collection to commission Emilie Taylor a contemporary ceramacist to create and exhibit pots in response to works in the Collection.
